“Catch ‘em young” – they say, and that’s precisely what Kotak wanted. They launched a savings bank account under Kotak Junior scheme for children aged 0 to 18 years. The account was designed to inculcate the habit of saving in children and help parents build a corpus for their children. Kotak Mahindra Bank was looking to offer their customers benefits using strategic alliances that could sweeten the deal for parents signing up for the scheme. This time around although the decision makers were the parents, the main TG were the children. Keeping this audience in mind several children specific-strategic alliances were put together to incentivize parents to make continuous payments towards an RD or SIP under this scheme. A booklet was created which contained curated, children-specific offers valid for six months after opening the account. The booklet included strategic alliances across categories like activities, amusement parks, shopping and more. We tied up with various online and offline brands to provide alliances for the booklet which included deals on brands like Disney, FirstCry, Baskin Robbins, Babyoye, Gini and Jony and so on.
