At both a systemic and grass root level, the Indian government has made several efforts like setting up a robust network of banks, introducing zero-balance savings accounts, etc. in order to bring about financial inclusion in the country. Rupay, India’s very own card network, was launched by NPCI to bring about this financial inclusion. For the first time in public sector banking, Rupay wanted to give category-specific offers to their end customers at scale – who had never received such benefits in the past. The objective was to drive transactions on cards powered by Rupay for end consumers who were using debit/credit cards from 300+ national and regional banks. Befitting the TG, we curated 200+ offers across categories like dining, shopping, health and more, which included partners like pepperfry.com, Malabar Gold & Diamonds, Grofers, etc. A special platform was also set up to highlight the offers to all customers.
