Philips is known for innovation in sound & audio gadgets. They have a huge catalog catering to various target groups. To make sure that a smooth logistical distribution takes place and customers receive these gadgets at their convenience, trade channel partners are a crucial part of the system. With the onset of Valentine’s Day, Philips wanted to gratify these trade channel partners in conjunction with their consumer promotion which was being held simultaneously. To satisfy the objective of increasing the average billing of retailers, and keeping in mind the fact that the target group appreciates white goods as rewards, we created a sweepstake contest where any retailer whose billing exceeded Rs.5000 could enter into a lucky draw. Every day, one lucky retailer won either a laptop, smartphone, or an air conditioner. Furthermore, given that that offer was running around Valentine’s, 26 lucky retailers won a luxury dinner for two at a 5-star hotel including a pick-up and drop in a chauffeur driven car.
